One of the Army Staff's focus areas is building the new army. An army that focuses on the army's capabilities in the field and, in this regard, builds new as well as restructures existing units. Concurrently, the Army Staff commands units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and production-manages combat units comprising the army, as well as subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools.

About the Unit

The Army Staff is an independent organizational unit within the Swedish Armed Forces, including the Technical and Maintenance Office Land (TVK Mark). TVK Mark is responsible for equipment maintenance, equipment utilization, and equipment maintenance economics within the army, as well as ensuring that equipment is maintained in accordance with system objectives.

From January 2026, TVK Mark will consist of several system sections with responsibilities for Air Defense, Man-Portable Weapons, Field Work Equipment, Indirect Fire, CBRN, Wheeled Vehicles, and Combat Vehicles, as well as a Coordination Section. The Coordination Section provides command and functional support for TVK Mark.

The Position

The position of Section Chief involves planning, coordinating, supporting, and leading our case handlers within technical services. The role may involve close collaboration with Army units, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), and industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Personnel responsibility for employees within the section. (Employee interviews, work environment, follow-up, recruitment, development, etc.)
  • Lead the section's work in supporting the system sections in matters concerning technical services, coordination, planning, and follow-up.
  • Work takes place close to your section, providing good conditions for an present and developmental leadership style.

The position involves both complex and routine tasks, offering you the opportunity to grow into the role together with us. We value mutual trust, and you will have significant autonomy and personal responsibility to drive cases toward established goals.

Qualifications

  • University education or other experience deemed relevant by the employer.
  • Documented experience as a manager or in a leading position with personnel and operational responsibility.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package.
  • Class B driver's license.

Merits

We are looking for someone who communicates and collaborates easily with others, as the work involves multiple contact areas. You are responsible, work with a coaching leadership style, and are confident in your leadership. You have good skills in administrative work, structuring and organizing, as well as strong analytical abilities combined with good security awareness.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal attributes.
